Diet V. Starving
Diet V. Starving? Isn't it one in the same? Anyone who has ever dieted probably would agree. Usually the first week of any diet you are starving and or your mind makes your think your starving. Every time you drive passed that McDonald’s that you used to love so much! It doesn’t matter if you are crash dieting or doing it right, if your mind body and soul aren’t into then you will not loose as much! Whats doing it right mean, as a opposed to crash dieting well grab a chair and I shall explain my views on it.
I look at diets like the Beyonce diet as a crash diet. Which pretty much means you are trying to loose large amounts of weight in a short period of time. Beyonce diet better known as the Lemonade or Maple Syrup diet. Which 3 quarts of water, one cup of lemon juice, this should come from lemons your juiced, one cup of pure maple syrup or molasses and one teaspoon cayenne pepper. The bottom line is that you dont eat and you crap a lot!! So of course your going to loose weight. Also there is no way you can exercise because you are consuming no calories or anything of substance. As if you are not crapping enough they also want you to drink a 2Tbl spoons of sea salt to 1 liter of water several times a day. It says you will begin to poop with in the hour and could go up to eight times. I have yet to brave this diet, for fear that I would need to wear a diaper. My sister has tried it and in the 10 days she lost 10 lbs which is good.
My most recent crash diet was the HCG diet which one is very expensive and two makes you feel like you might pass away. HCG is usually in a bottle that has a dropper and you take 10 drops 3 times a day. You can eat 2 times a day with 6 hours in between each meal. Also you can only drink water, you can have no bread or grains, and can only consume 500 a day. Now the eating was not a problem, I really never felt hungry. I just really wanted to work out like I had been but that is not an option on this diet. Anyone who tells you they have is lying and you can tell them I said that!! There was no way I could even get out of my chair some days! I stopped because I literally thought I was going to pass away. It just felt like everything in my body was turning into jelly. Smaller portions, counting calories and exercise seems to be the best way to loose the pounds and keep it off. .My friend Tiffany has lost 30 lbs and toned her body so much that she is the smallest she has been in years. She told me that she never thought she would be as small as she is, she accepted that her family was mainly larger women and she was okay with that. Learning to eat right and exercise now has her on fire! She now wants to be a personal trainer and help everyone who wants to, learn to become just as successful at this as she is. Tiffany didn’t set out to loose 30lbs she set out to get healthy so that she could lower her blood pressure. She now is 30 lbs lighter, super toned and no longer needs high blood pressure med. Way to go Tiffany!!
I think it is pretty clear which way you should go!! Work hard and it really does pay off. . .Tiffany's best advise was stop making excuses and do it just to be healthy not to loose a number!! I mean after all she no longer has to take medication which is a huge achievement!!

Congrats to Tiffany that's awesome! She's right. Watch what you eat and get moving. Think about it. For every pound you lose, you let four pounds of pressure off of your knees! At her thirty pound mark she's lost an entire teenage girl off her knees!
ReplyDeleteMost of the time people just over think and tell themselves they can't do something...it's a mind game you play with yourself. If you give yourself time to make up excuses you won't go. I've heard "oh I don't want to work out in public", "I didn't have any gas", or "My shoes hurt" (last one is a joke). Get up and just move your ass.
I spent two months gathering research on what I could do to drop this weight with that knowledge in hand it's only a matter of get up and go. Just think, someday the evil monster Chub Rub will be eliminated! I'm thirty-five down so far just watching what I eat and going to the gym. Anyone can do it, just takes a strong mind and willpower.
All right let's go work out then. cuz my main excuse at that is, going alone. I could write a blog about my fear of public places lol! and now we can help each other overcome our own at the gym together!! :)
